SPRING - Promises of Good Things to Come!!

Ahhh!  It’s that time of the year again when the early morning sun slides in sideways thru the patio doors and lights up everything in it’s path…intense, warm sun that has the promise of spring…and even summer… in it !  I am ready for the balmy breezes of spring, for walks and talks in the park while the grandkids play…for peanut butter and jelly and potato chip sandwiches shared on a blanket flung out on the top of the cool green grasses in the local park…

I am ready, however, I just saw a notice that the flu season has finally just arrived in New Mexico, where I live!!!...surely you jest!!!    I am ready, but historically here in NM, there are always those (surprise!!) last minute chilly winds and even an occasional flurry of snow (hasta la vista, apricot trees!) left to ride out before we enjoy our soon-to-come balmy breezes!  Yes, Old Man Winter usually has a few surprises up his sleeve…

Ahhhh!  …but the sun has arrived!  …and with it promises of the earth warming, bearing colorful spring flowers…and I’ll bet a few of those cherries and apricots will make it thru the late snow….and promises of lots of good memories to be made…soon!

Footnote:  The first image is of my studio, which is going thru a slight transformation as the patio doors in the room are being replaced with larger ones…they will let in more light…and provide a much better view of the Sandia Mountains! (I knew that mini trampoline would come in handy someday!) The second image is my Baby…letting me know just exactly what she thinks of all of the very noisy work that has been going on here lately!!

...we just keep on cleaning up the dust that is still settling everywhere...ugh!!
...but it will be nice when it is finished!!
